    Hi,

I wonder if anyone could please advise me? I'm not a very competent Excel user.

I want to add standard deviations to each column in a histogram in the form of error bars. I've attempted to do this (see image attached). Here you can see the standard deviation of the data in my table (below table), plus this plotted as error bars in the accompanying bar graph. Please can anyone advise me as to whether I have done this correctly?

    Many thanks

Assuming you want to put in an error bar for +/- 1 SD then OK but could your data actually be negative?

Where the measurement is zero, is it prone to any error at all? I have no idea what you data is about but it might be questionable to include the data where the motors recruited has gone to zero?

After all, depending on the data I might see how many people can throw a calculator (say) beyond a set distance and by adding in distances above the maximum that anyone can throws a calculator I can arbitrarily increase the number of data points I am dealing with by having loads of zeroes for immense distances.
