What does it mean if the listener is in full control of the conversation and what does it mean by attempts to speak on equal terms with the listener?

    Thanks

Speaking on equal terms with the listener = I think this basically means making sure that when questions are asked that you answer them whilst addressing their opinion as well as yours. Make sure you're putting both arguments forward fairly because it makes it seem as though you've understood the question well which gives you extra marks

The listener is in full control of the conversation = who is the listener supposed to be (you or the teacher? I'm assuming it's the teacher?)
