    Hi guys,

Could you please help me with the following question: Find a quote for Eva Smith or Daisy Renton and analysis the quote and the effect on the audience.

    Thanks!

Eva doesn't say anything in the entire play, so the quotes have to be from other characters:

For example, the Inspector says that there are "millions and millions of Eva Smiths and John Smiths" (somewhere in Act 3, maybe his final didactic speech).

Repetition of "millions" shows the sheer number of people in question, and the number of voiceless people in 1912 society, as that's what Eva represents.

The 1946 society (when the play was performed) understand that they have a responsibility to take on a socialist attitude, instead of being capitalist, which is generally what the Birlings did (except for Sheila).

This is, of course, in note form, and probably needs a bit more added to it, but that's the gist of it.
