I really enjoy psychology and love doing research and learning about new things about it. I'm thinking about taking it as a HL subject in IB and was wondering if you need biology for every good university to study psychology? Excuse my lack of knowledge in this topic as I only recently got into thinking about psychology as a HL choice.

It really varies from uni to uni -- have a look at the entry requirements of ones you might fancy and see. While I can't remember it being a formal requirement anywhere I looked (3 years ago), sometimes uni's prefer/give you a lower offer if you have an additional science on top of psychology. In terms of studying psychology as a degree, I would say biology definitely helped me.
