Feminists are so irrelevant these days. This thread is just more proof of that.

I have 15 gems but I made the last 7 invisible to make people feel better.

This explains it all in a way that I simply couldn't.

It's exactly how I feel about all feminism.

I'd like to see more reps given in study help to be honest. It is often a thankless/repless job (not that that's an issue, helping some here is its own reward )
Obtaining reps shouldn't be seen as a reward, surely? And that's rude if they don't thank you!

I don't even know what their purpose is?

reps are a function of time. A combination of how long you've been here and how much you post.

No indication of quality of posts, or how helpful a user you are, or how funny you are.

The only reason I rep people is because if I see a post I like, the thumbs up is eye catching and (hopefully) draws people into that particular post.

A system where they don't accumulate (like Youtube) would work well.

The Patriarchy is so real and alive that it can even be seen on TSR.

4 people have 11 gems now and they are ALL cis male.

I'm tired of all this oppression and the gender gem gap.

Whilst they were out getting their gems I was probably spending too much time cooking or having babies and now I don't have the same opportunities.

    How do we correct this?
Leave it to your betters please sweetie

    Disagree
How can you disagree with that statement?

The longer you have been here and the more you post will usually lead to acquiring more reps. It also depends on what forums you spread yourself out to. Some of the guys in Football have been here for years and have many thousands of posts but not much rep, probably because they don't and shouldn't care for that sort of thing.

A user that signed up a week ago isn't going to have as many reps as somebody who's been here for a year.

Well that's obvious. But there are many users here with 20k+ posts who don't have too much. And in the same way people with 1-5k who have much more

You're purposely holding yourself back due to the patriarchy.

THINK LIKE A MAN. But not an actual man. because Men are the enemy.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that it's no indication. I think there's some correlation with all of those factors and some others.

Way to go right to the extremes... I'm referring to ones with 10 who have ~5k, whereas I've seen a few with >20k who've got 8 or 9

Yes, there is correlation, but I used the word indication because a new user who see's an individual with a high amount of rep doesn't know what that individual did to achieve it. What was it for? With no neg rep, it could be for anything!

I'm not offended because I'm in it....

I'm offended because it degrades women.
