A beta understands compassion, human need and the concept of peace and understanding.

An alpha is all emotionless brawn and strength.

So I am for the betas! Who is with me???!11

think about it if there only existed a beta and an alpha. The beta could be a beta because it doesnt have the capacity to lead or take control. So would you want someone to lead you in to the direction??? Because I wouldnt like that #TEAMALPHA

There is no such thing as "beta and alpha males"

There is such thing as an 'alpha male'.

    Then there is everyone else.

But it shouldn't be considered a gold standard for masculinity. For all of their strengths they are also often selfish and lack compassion, as others have pointed out.

Generally a good description consists of three attitudes

    Aggression
    Assertion
    Submission

Aggressive guys are loser thugs, they insult, interrupt, bully.
Assertive guys respect others but stand up for themselves
Submissive guys don't stand up for themselves

'Alpha' males don't exist by virtue of them being defined by their relation to 'beta' males, it's contradictory for an alpha to care about leadership while being entitled that others ('betas') follow him. A true 'alpha' would just get on with their life without caring about this crap.

Yes I would agree that's a better description. But again I would place myself between aggression and assertion.

Hitler was alpha and I'm pretty sure most of his subjects were fairly happy so far as as I recall. Corbyn is beta and he's just so feeble that you couldn't imagine being ruled by him. The police wouldn't bother with crime. Rubbish would pile up in the street. Doctors would resort to simply stroking patients cheeks instead of giving them medicine. Absolute chaos.
Most dictators are 'alpha' by virtue of their position, and a lot of Germans were not happy with his authority it's just the ones who disagreed were dead or sent fighting a useless crappy war. I'm surprised they didn't mutiny and shoot the ******* earlier. Most so called 'alphas' are useless leaders because they arrogant and can't listen without oppression.

It's fine to be aggressive when someone else is also aggressive if there's no other way to resolve it, being assertive generally works the best though.

What sort of black magic trickery are you playing on me? I seem to agree with everything you say
