I'm having lots of issue with lack of teaching in my sixth form. During AS sociology I had no teacher for the last term and now in A2 geography my teacher has been told she has to leave our lessons to teach year 11. All of this is really affecting my grades. Does anyone know if there is anything I or my sixth form can do to make up for this on my UCAS application. Thank you 😊

I'm afraid that lack of teaching probably wont be considered an extenuating circumstance as the university could expect you to teach it to yourself to make up for it so i dont think theres anything you can do.

Raise the issue with the head or get your parents to. In the first instance you should be working with the school to find out what they intend to do. If that doesnt work then you might want to raise the complaint level and talk to the next tier up like the LEA or whoever the school is answerable to, to make a complaint.
In the meantime you will need to fend for yourself. Use your initiative and even if the teacher isnt in class, approach them at another time to make sure you are studying the right areas. Word hard so it causes you minimum disruption.
