    Hi All

I'm sorry for how long winded this post is going to be, am 22, have aspergers, dyspraxia and M.E and anxiety and depression..

I've been really struggling mentally and physically lately, at the moment my health is on a rather rapid decline, my periods have been extremely erratic, they always have been, but even more so now... (had two extremely heavy ones in a month basically 5 days apart which has been agonising; have been trying to get a gynecology referall for years, but my doctor keeps giving me the pill and various forms of it, which do not help So have been taking the codydramol and mefenamic acid she prescribed along with the imigran for my migraines which have now increased... to the point where they're so bad I can hardly move.

I have a rather scary letter as have had more of the meds than I ordinarily would lately, and have been told to make a review to "discuss" my medication.

Since I got diagnosed in November with M.E last year, I was told by me Uni (was on a childcare foundation degree) that I needed to leave due to my bad health as was missing a fair amount of time due to hospital appointments). This unfortunately has landed me in a whole heap of trouble with student finance; and an over £750 debt to pay back...

I have since then been signed off work due to illness and anxiety; which is causing me even more worry as know my parents need the money; regrettably the place I had been volunteering at, a local nursery got closed down.. was unable to find another childcare placement

I am scared stiff about my review appointment tomorrow; and also asking the doctors in a couple of weeks for another fit note.. My head is all over the place; I just feel so tearful.. I don't have friends to talk to about this either I just feel so stressed.. thanks for reading

I'm sorry you're going through all this. I have anxiety and migraines myself, which have led to me being out of work and education for the past 7 years so I know a bit of what you're dealing with.

Firstly, it's normal to have medication reviews. It's your GP's job to make sure your medication is doing its job properly and if you've been asking for more medication it's a sign that it might not be working as well as it should be. They'll just discuss with you your symptoms and how the medication helps and try and get you on a dose and combination of drugs that they feel will be more helpful to you.

With regards to student finance have you contacted them and told them that you don't have the money to pay them back just yet? Explain that you had to leave your course for health reasons. They should then help you figure out a way to pay the money back, I would have thought. Either through a payment plan or simply adding the £750 to your student finance account to be paid back at a later date. Only they can tell you how they can help so it's worth getting in touch with them and explaining your situation.

Money is probably the biggest worry when it comes to being signed off work and leaving your course of study. I know that it took my ESA a long while to come through and then it feels very unstable when you're having to get fit notes. I take it you've applied for ESA if you're getting fit notes from your doctor? If you are, it does get a bit better once you've had your official medical as the income is a bit more stable then and you might also get a bit more money than you do in the initial phase of the claim. Asking doctors for fit notes is no fun at all, but just be clear to them that you were forced to leave your course because of your health problems and you don't feel able to work just now. Make it clear that you're working on getting better and you're keen to recover and be in a position where you feel able to return to your studies or get a job.

Is there another GP at your surgery who you can go to? If your current GP refuses to refer you to a gyno, you're well within your rights to get another opinion. Go to another doctor and say that you really need a referral as this is taking over your life and making it difficult to function.

Best of luck with everything. :hugs:

You need to sort out one issue at a time.

In regards to student finance debt - you need to talk to them and explain your situation. You then need to negoiate a repayment plan with them.
