I'm 17, and I've struggled with my parents recently up to the point I left and am currently living with my girlfriend. While this is not a long term solution, time away from my parents hasn't helped the situation and I feel going back home is not the option. Can someone please advise me on what I should do?

I currently live a similar situation. First of all, stay strong, do what you have to do (school, work, whatever...) as this should not affect you too much. Do try to focus on what is important but also outside the affective reach of your parents.
Then, you should think very deeply about what you want to do. Living on your own is not the solution, I think.
Maybe find some relatives that would understand your views and give you shelter for a while and wait for things to settle down a bit.
Maybe consider finding a part-time job, but do not make it have a too big influence on your life, as there are many things left to exeprience, and Uni is one of them. Prepare yourself for some hard times, but always focus on the future and what the right thing to do about it is.

Then, if it is too difficult and as a very last solution, swallow your pride and go back there. If that is not impossible. But, before that, try to deal with the issue properly.
