My brown tom cat was sunbathing with me all day yesterday and was his usual fury-pury self, then this morning i gave him a kitty sausage and noticed a white tuft on his head- so i looked closer and he has a really hard lump, maybe a thumb print in size (he's a real big cat though). I rung the vets and they said they're all booked up but it sounds like he's banged his head (he does frequently knock himself out he's the definition of docile) . He lets me touch the lump but bear was adopted so i don't know how old he is, although vets have previously predicted 5- which would make him 7 now, he's been neutered before i got him and is a really outdoorsy cat.

I can't help but worry it might be serious?- he lets me touch it and purrs so it can't be painful,he's eating loads and drinking loads, I've seen him go to the toilet today- well, I've seen him bury his load in the neighbors yard- and he's playing with my other cats.

Take him in when you cna or book with another vet.
You could also ring one of the local charities rspca or cats protection see if they can add anything, but i doubt it.
