Hi, im doing my core science ISA and need help on how to get an A*. Does anyone know what grade 40/50 would be and what score would i need for an A*? plz help

45 is normally an A* and 40 is just about an A grade. In order to do well in an ISA you must get 20/20 in the first paper as this is relatively easy because it is just about your experiment. You should learn the model answers for common questions. REMEMBER to include all the elements in your investigation writeup and make sure to check SPaG. Your method must include: the independent variable with units and the range with intervals, the dependent variable with units, at least three control variables and HOW you're going to control it, a step-by-step method, the final step should be to repeat each independent variable value i.e. The range you have quoted three times and the calculate an average, the equipment including the resolution, a risk assessment table including the hazard the risk and control measure.

Paper 2 however is where you are more likely to lose marks because you also have to analyse data; the mark scheme is rather picky for the correct answers in this section.

I wish you all the best in your forthcoming examinations.
