Also tell me in 5 years if the partying hard lifestyle worked for you.
Are you retarded or just that much of a virgin you're depressed.

Well surround yourself with different people if you don't like them.
The only problem is I don't like alot of them and making new friends now would just be pointless especially since I'm leaving college in a year. Do you think its fine to just play it safe and chill with this group even though I don't like them as I don't have the time to make new friends atm or just chill on my own?

Worth getting a gf though cos I'm going to leave in a year and I don't have my own place atm though. When I get to uni I think its best to get a GF rather than waste time on a girl now

I'm sorry, but you seem like a really dull person and quite cynical to those who are actually enjoying life as well as getting good grades.

There is so much more, especially when you're young...don't waste this precious time in hordes of books. LIVE.

As for your question; find "like-minded" friends in the library or locally organised events or try and friend a little weekend job, you're sure to make a couple friends there!

NoIts not just good grades I do more than just that. Its just the people around me aren't going nowhere in life. I do chill with them at times but I know its just pointless.
I haven't met many other people who think this way. This is exactly how I feel and although I spend time here and there with 'friends', listening to their dull gossip, I'd much rather be working on something that improves me and gets me one step closer to my goal in life. Or at least socialising with like-minded friends.

You could just chill with them here and there to pass time when you're stressed but to be fair, there's a wide range of people at university so you're bound to find someone you click with.

That's rude. Just because OP doesn't want to socialise with people who don't add to/improve their life, doesn't mean they're dull.....

At my age especially everyone I know wants to just through away their futures, I've just not met anyone link-minded. I could fake it but I'd rather focus on getting good grades and developing myself than waste time at this age.
i feel you, i work hard because like you i think long term but that doesn't mean i'm locked up in my room

grades are very important at this stage, they're you're ticket into uni, but you gotta learn how to balance a social life and studies otherwise you'll be depressed in uni.

Honestly as an adult my social life is limited to monthly meet-ups with old uni friends.
