    Hello, First post here,

Anyway, I've got a bit of an issue with my Finance application. So, I filled in my application, and then left my parents to fill in their part afterwards to support my application. Anyway, I've just checked my email from Student Finance England, and the Maintenance Loan is a few thousand lower than i was expecting. £3821 to be exact, which i believe is the lowest value that everyone receives, and then you get extra if you are eligible.

Anyway, i then asked my parents about this, and they said they ticked what household income bracket we fall into, however they said they did not provide their financial information, which is evident from an email i received from SLC... I've got no idea why they chose not to supply any more information! Every time we decided to do something important or set up a contract or anything, something always goes wrong and now i'm pretty stressed out.

My Account online also reads: "To make sure you get some student finance in time for starting your course — we've automatically assessed you for finance that doesn't depend on your household income."

SOOOOO, what do i do!!! My parents income is not super low, but its not over 70k either, so i'm guessing its down to their decision not to fill in their financial information. They are now ready to enter it (why they didn't do it at the time is beyond me), so do i have to start my application again or is there a way of editing their support e.t.c

    Thank you!

Call SFE and explain that your parents didn't realise the impact of not declaring their income. They'll be able to reopen your accout to get the information in and reassess you.
