AQA chem 5 - which colours? watch

    Ok, so theres the colours in transitional chemistry which ive learnt. And some colours involved in halogen chemistry..What else is there to know in terms of colours?

    I remember at GCSE when in Chemistry, the teacher put Potassium in water and it went all purple!

    There may have been a flash of purple coloured light but I didnt think the solution was purple?!

    No thats right - The flame it produced was purple (for a bit).

    He also put lithium in, but I distinctly remember the potassium making a lilac flame.
