'A Valediction: broken circuits'

The series of our terms has reached its end,
But what its sum shall be who yet can say?
For evenings in the lab, we forsook our p(l)ay,
And extracted the roots of knowledge. Now we rend

That circuit, flowing, flown, 'twixt our souls. Farewell.
Yet, like bulbs, the school's soft stars, your soul and mine,
Shall be: the one extinguish'd, the other shines;
Your mind, my heart, are wir'd in parallel.

Sounds a bit weird writing a poem to a teacher.....
And if you gave him the poem that was suggested on here then i think he may have to report you for inappropriate behaviour or sexual harrassment!! It's a little over the top! Plus a poem is rather personal, i think its extremely weird to want to give one to a teacher no matter how helpful he was.. do you have a crush on him?
