    This does include people who know the Sri Lankan culture well...

    I've been invited to a wedding and have a small selection of 'indian' clothes but am I allowed to wear a red dress or are there are any colour rules?

    The dress colours I have in mind are red or navy or a more vibrant blue.

    Ok thanks, not sure what the bride is wearing but will wear the dark blue to be safe!

    yes dark blue sounds safe...just don't wear anything like white or red becaue usually the bride wears that colour
