I know it's hard at times like this, but can't we all reflect on the good things Islam does for the world?

The greatest tragedy with these attacks is the way Islam and it's adherents are demonized because of them.
It is such a wonderful, peaceful religion and the West is so Islamophobic.

Post of the week, mate. You nailed it. Let's hear it for Islam and the Prophet Mohammed, such a force for good in the world.

The goals of the Knights Templar was to protect Christian interests within the so-called Holy Land, they had no interest in establishing a Jewish homeland. You can't pin everything on Zionism without any authority or reliable sources

TBH making a claim on a piece of land because you believe it was promised by God is also religious fanaticism. So that goes back to what I said about religion causing a significant amount of death and destruction throughout history and in the current times.
The knights templar had no christian interests whatsoever, their sole aim was to retrieve the books of magic buried under the temple of solomon and they were successful in that. Anyway this is veering off topic and if your interested you can go research it yourself.

so youre saying islam did invent these things or no?
Well muslim scientists of that era are the pioneers of modern science. Its not the religion that did it but the people of the religion lol. The libraries of Baghdad were houses of wisdom until they were pillaged and the books of knowledge stolen.

people blaming muslims for the attacks need to **** off

The idea that Muslims killed these innocent people is just Islamophobic. GREAT post, it was nothing to do with Islam or the ideology of Jihad.

Actually it is all the fault of Western foreign policy. Belgium is a terrible country for that, it's armed forces are always bombing and killing civilians all over the world.

libraries of bagdad did indeed house many books of wisdom and science - all of which came from the ancient greeks egytians indians and chinese.
so i cant agree with you that any of that was down to islam

have you got any thing else?

Indeed, you could argue that it is the West that oppresses women, not Islam. You can see this with the wage gap, for example

There are a ton of Christian terrorist who have done worst in the past yet you don't hear about it on the news, but when a bunch of Muslims blow a building its all over the place ? I'm Muslim and proud, Islam is a wonderful and peaceful religion; but there are those (terrorists) who misinterpret /misjudge the quran making them believe that it is okay too kill people. It is a MASSIVE sin too kill someone in Islam, that should tell you something.
so youre calling mohammed a sinner now? didnt he and his followers kill loads?

    no murder can be justified
It was war at the end of the day, one that Europeans didn't start and one that was neccessary to preserve the very existence of European civilisation as it stood at the time.

Or would you have prefered it if Europe had not fought back and allowed itself to fall to Islam? Like India did for example? (You should read about the Islamic conquest of India btw, it is refered to by many historians as the "bloodiest story in history". Go and learn of the horrors Muslim conquerers inflicted in those lands and you will be eternally grateful for the actions of the early crusaders who ensured that Europe did not suffer the same fate.)

    Indeed.

And that's why Muhammed never ever encouraged his followers to kill.

    He was misunderstood.

it was a very bloody invasion, but as ive been told recently, india wasnt a united countries but a collection of kingdoms, and the muslims conquered mcuh of the west and north but were defeated and driven out of the south east and pockets of the north.
and then some centuries later they tried to conquer the mongols, who then duly went on a rampage throught the islamic world and destroyed a whole caliphate and sacked bagdahd - thats perhaps the most bloodiest conquest in history

    Hear hear!

Every time there's a terrorist attack I fear that Islam will be unfaily criticised.

Yet the overwhelming majority of Muslims I've known are just like most of the indigenous population.

They drink, look on women as inferior, eat crap gamble and swear.

But they wouldn't hurt a fly.

Well so was Europe, but the big difference was, Europe was more or less entirely Christian, which served as a strong unifying force. India as I understand it was a hodge podge of Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and various other local folk religions, there was really no banner they could all unite under against a marauding enemy (though if I recall, some Sikhs and Hindus did eventually form alliances to push back against Muslim conquerers).

Phobia of any kind is never justified! It is bigotry!
A phobia is an irrational fear, but it is not irrational to fear Islam. It is invariably a turbulent minority and an overbearing majority.

Religious minorities, homosexuals, freethinkers and atheists, women who want equal rights... all these people would have much to fear in an Islamic state
