Are there any good medicine related TV shows? Also are they actually worth watching? Like any benefits of wider medical knowledge etc.
    Thank you!

I ve pretty much watched every episode and the little medical knowledge i do know matches up with what they say. 24 hours in a&e and one born every minute are the closest things to medical documentaries i watch.

BBC do loads of documentary style programmes: just keep updated on iplayer, they do stuff about hand transplants, effects of the sun of skin, plastic surgery on Harlem street, they have (had?) a junior doctor series which is pretty awesome too.

If you want to know what working in the NHS is like, then Getting On is without a doubt one of the best things I've ever seen. There is very little medical information in the show, it's just a very realistic and funny show about MDT working and bureaucracy in the NHS. I also like junior doctors, particularly the London one.

Casualty? You hear a lot of technical terms on it.

I only vividly remember the episode where the Japanese guy puts in his first ever chest/lung drain and when the old woman shouts at the Asian girl for being incompetent. The London series is so hard to find online
