# 2016 Official AQA New Spec AS Level Physics Paper 1 - 24th of May 2016 watch

1. (Original post by spidle)
Why would you round to 260m?
Got 2.3in the first bit then got 856
2. (Original post by monoman)
Anyone get -1 for the acceleration and around 2000m for the distance?
I didn't but I can't imagine it being 2km for the stopping distance
3. (Original post by spidle)
Why would you round to 260m?
Wavelength is 0.12m. It's sorted, no more uncertainty
4. (Original post by QS2Nabz)
for the photoelctric effect, did anyone write current increases with intensity?? since more electrons are released per a second
Yes! Hopefully it's right...
5. (Original post by moshe015)
I got 2.3 then 0.065 then 0.12
I got the same roughly, but i might of made some rounding errors
6. Anyone know the answer to the question about voltage between A and B?
7. What did people get for the resistance of the probe in the circuit
8. Are the exams out of 120 or 100 ums

Anyone know the answer to the question about voltage between A and B?
I said the voltage stays the same cos it's zero when placed like that, i tink im wrong tho
10. [QUOTE=jmulqueeney;6511343 I would to apologize for this, someone hacked my account. The password was easier to guess than the 6 marker

What did people get for the resistance of the probe in the circuit
0.15
12. (Original post by Kilometers)
I got the same roughly, but i might of made some rounding errors
I put everything to 2sf would I lose any marks like i got 860 m
13. (Original post by dardan_1)

Yeah, I measured 11.8 cm, pretty much the same.

I put everything to 2sf would I lose any marks like i got 860 m
so did I as most of the data was given to that accuracy
this paper was much harder than previous years
15. (Original post by 11234)
I put everything to 2sf would I lose any marks like i got 860 m
The question didn't specify how many significant figures, so i don't think you'll lose any marks, but im not 100% sure
16. The accretion was 2.71
17. (Original post by JemFink)
I didn't but I can't imagine it being 2km for the stopping distance
If you calculate the acceleration using f=ma with a force of 190kN then you get 2.37 and 800 and something metres as your answer, however attempting to calculate the resultant force on the plane by taking the thrust of the engines away from the resistive forces give you 1 as your acceleration and 2km as stopping distance. Idk which is right

Yes
19. (Original post by 456CJ)
The accretion was 2.71
how?
20. (Original post by Georgia.C123)
how?
F = ma
