As you can see from that other thread here where they chastise gay men for 'appropriating black women', and also disparagingly suggest that it's only 'bottoms' that do this, they now want LGBT societies to abolish the position of gay men's representative, and therefore deny gay men a point of contact for gay male-specific issues, deny gay men 'safe spaces' (whatever they are) and all this is done as punishment for gay men's apparent bigotry, biphobia, racism and transphobia.

There does seem to be a hatred of gay men at the NUS.

It appears gay men have lost their oppression status...

NUS is imploding... SJWs are catalysing it. This is becoming ridiculous.

I think what the NUS has come forward and said is just ridiculous. It's that dangerous Tumblr form of social justice where people try and pit minorities against one another and insist on speaking about experiences that they have no personal knowledge of. Even if these people are ignoring the fact that some gay male students will face prejudice on campus, or have issues that they simply need to talk about, can they really be so ignorant as to ignore the fact that not all gay men have a great and accepting experience at home or in the town they live? It's like if they see a large number of people being represented in campus groups or in the media they assume that anyone who shares that identity is doing fine.

I identify as left-ish and would probably be considered a "SJW," but I can't agree with this...

There are issues that affect gay men disproportionately. Gay men, even at university and even by the NUS' own admission are far more likely to be bullied, receive abuse or worse suffer violence. Then there's also the issue of male-on-male domestic violence, an issue that gay men might only feel comfortable speaking with to a gay male student union representative. It seems incredible with this backdrop that all the NUS seem to want to do is attack gay men and pass motions against them and abolish help and support they receive.

This is disgusting and ridiculous. It's that whole game of 'who is more oppressed, me or you??? I wanna be more opressed!!!', it's completely ridiculous and how exactly are gay males any less oppressed than other queer people... smh. They decided that just based on their own observations, in their limited world, gay men are more accepted, that doesnt mean that it is like that in wider society.
