I've just come across this, um, delicacy.... has anyone ever tried it? I think I am goin to have nightmares.

'A balut (spelled standardized as balot) is a developing duck embryo (fertilized duck egg) that is boiled and eaten in the shell. It originated and is commonly sold as streetfood in the Philippines.'

Imagine seeing that being sold on the street as a snack like a hot dog or something!!! omg

It reminds me of what they sell on the black market in China. I don't think I'd have the stomach to eat something like that. I wonder what it tastes like.
