Hi I stuck on which course I want to choose both are great course and will lead me to the Adams job.But the primary education course his full time (high bcontract time) and based on usual teaching stud focused on how to teach and manage a classroom. However the education studies is is lower contact time course and cover more wider areas of education which I am interested in.
Any advice or thoughts be appreciated Thankx

I am in the exact same position. I'm currently in year one of education studies and I've been accepted to start primary education in September but I don't know whether to leave ed studies and start year one again or to carry this course on and do a PGCE in the end.

    Hi,
I'm currently doing Education Studies at UCL Institute of Education. We're studying different disciplinary perspectives of Education - namely Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology and History. There are some modules that relate to teaching such as How People Learn (in Year 1) and Learning Sciences (in Year 2). The degree doesn't lead to QTS, so you'll need to do a top-up PGCE after it. But you'll get a very in-depth understanding about the underlying issues and themes within education and various education systems. Let me know if you have any questions!
