    Prove for all integers x and y, x^2 \not= 4y + 2
Note that clearly x is even and consider what this means about x^2.
    Hint:
    Spoiler:
    Show
    Write x=2k for k \in \mathbb{Z}.

Maybe like a whole one possibly two "peng" chicks - we're mathmos what do you expect?
The time comes from a combination of procrastination and revision breaks - one learns to manage these things.

I can't say I'd ever come across mathbff, I think CompSci is even worse than maths, the majority of both subjects are male.
As for the procrastination, when you've spent some time with some of the guys there, one quickly realise I'm not even close to the best.

It's definitely better now, I can't say that it was really very good for A-levels anyway.
