Could any current medical students or applicants to either Keele, Sheffield or HYMS give me any pros and cons about the course? I'm really struggling to decide between the 3! Thank you!

Hi, I'm a current applicant for HYMS, and don't know much about Sheffield or Keele. In my opinion, here are some of the pros for HYMS, amongst many others!

Anyway, the course at HYMS seems to be very appealing, for me personally. They really focus on innovative teaching, while offering integrated placements very early on in your studies (first few weeks).

Also, the students who I spoke to at the applicant day were highly positive about their teaching at HYMS, which was great to hear.

If you are allocated to the Hull campus, they are building a brand new medical building which will be ready next year. The medical school at York is modern, too. York has a lovely campus with a lake (and ducks/swans, too ). I haven't visited Hull, but speaking to other applicants, they also have a beautiful and friendly campus and lots of traditional buildings.

I hope this helps a little, regarding HYMS. I'm sure other TSR members will be able to give more advice for Sheffield and Keele. Good luck with your choices!
