Hi - I understand that as a British passport holder, you have to have uninterrupted residency in England for 3 years prior to studying in order to be eligible for a student loan. I have some questions in this regard:

    1. For what time period during the 3 years of residence may you leave the UK (for travel/holiday, etc.) without it being considered interrupted?
    2. If you arrived in England on 29 December, but course starts in September, do you have to wait another year to qualify or will they count the 3rd year as 3 years?
    3. Are there ever any exceptions due to circumstances eg. can't study in previous country of residence for good reasons?
