I guess they're using him as an example.
Seems like it, which is ********. You shouldn't be punished more just because you're famous.

It's funny how feminists, despite supposedly being all for equality, stay silent on the much harsher sentencing men receive and the sexism of the legal system in general

Oh and also the fact that a 30 y/o female teacher walked off scot-free following a sexual relationship with a 15 male student.

It's kinda weird that animal porn is even illegal tbh
No it's not, for very obvious reasons. Example, could you imagine how the spread of Mad Cow Disease would have been influenced if bovine related pornography was........... I'm going to stop. So nasty.

That's not how mad cow disease spreads.

Killing them is fine, but watching others have sex with them is wrong? It's totally inconsistent (no I'm not a vegetarian).

It wouldn't have affected the spread in the slightest.

Ok, im a feminist, and i think that 6 years is a little bit too harsh, but then i dont know the legal system inside out, and also, given that this case is going to have quite an effect on his professional life too. Altho he behaved quite unprofessionally in taking advantage of the girl like that...

A touch too harsh, I feel her willingness to participate should mitigate it slightly.

Having said that, I'm more annoyed by the PFA coming out saying he'll never play again. They have no right to say that. When he comes out he should be afforded every opportunity to prove he has rehabilitated - this is best done by allowing him to work for a living in the only industry he knows.

I'll refer you to my previous post

Everyone should be aware of this:

"When the victim is 13 or over, but under 16, no offence is committed if the victim consents and the defendant believes, on reasonable grounds, that the child is at least 16. Simply taking the victim's word for his or her age may not be enough. Offenders under 18 commit a lesser offence with lower penalties" according to the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

Based on what I've heard through the court proceedings, Adam Johnson knew she was under 16 years of age.

This Act covers rape, sexually penetration, or sexual touches.
I agree with you though that this trial isn't in accordance with due process.

Its amazing how one very small incident can ruin your entire career life, had the girl been just a couple of months older this would have been absolutely fine he still would have had a career and be respected. A few months lost him his entire life
I think the PFA's announcement is purely for political readons wsnting to appear morally correct.

If the genders had been reversed there'd have been a suspended sentence at most. So its unprofessional when celebrities use their fame to get what they want?
