Well, that's some solid evidence right there & beautifully, logically reasoned too.

If you're going to be sarcastic, you need to quote me at least or else you simply end up looking cowardly.

    Really?!

Okay, so sorry, but with no intervening posts, quoting seemed unnecessary. There was absolutely no cowardice, I assure you, why on earth would there be?

Yet you quoted me here with no intervening posts. Curious.

    Hardly curious.

Posters don't always quote. My first contribution to this very thread doesn't contain a quote, neither does Snufkin's, nor does 999tigger's. You rather amusingly suggested that failing to quote you implied cowardice so, yeah, I'm more than happy to oblige if that's your preference.

Yeah, in reply to OP. Replying to OP is different to replying to another poster. OP necessarily will get a notification of the unquoted post; another poster won't necessarily get a notification of the unquoted post. See the difference?

It is curious that it moves from redundancy one moment to being used the next. Did you lose faith in your argument? Anyway, my point here that if you're going to be sardonic, at least have the courage to address to a particular poster and not hope it'll go under the radar.

Once someone has posted on a thread, it automatically becomes "watched" & anyone who has posted to that thread is notified that the thread has been added to. However, if you wish to be quoted, I am delighted to do so.

I assure you again that there was no such hope. Why ever would there be?

Oh, you're new. My bad. That usually gets turned off by people after they've posted in more than 4 threads.
