You get these genes from your mum and dad so you will most likely be similar to people you are related to. To stay with the 'instructions' metaphor, though, many things contribute to how completely your instructions will get followed - like making a cake. If you forget to add eggs or flour, you'll end up with a different product at the end. The most common of these factors for human growth is nutrition. Better nourished females will develop more completely.
