    Hi
If anyone could give any insight on how to solve the following problems (pg 121 Q8-9 in the AQA textbook) it'd be much appreciated. Not sure how to even approach these Q.

Thank you (I'll put a picture below)

You know the equation of the circle is x^2 + y^2 = (5\sqrt{2})^2, you also know that x = 4 + \lambda and y = 7-2\lambda plug this into the circle equation, get a quadratic in \lambda and then plug the two solutions for \lambda into the x,y equations to get the coordinates.

Same thing with Q9, equation of sphere: x^2 + y^2 + z^2 = 3^2 - you can find x,y,z parametrically from the equation of the line, then plug this into the equation of the sphere to find the requisite \lambda's and plug back into x,y,z parametrics to get the coordinates.
