I do not have issues with being shy or anything like that in real life. In fact, I would go as far as to say I am relatively outgoing in day to day life. There is just one problem: I am absolutely awful at texting. I can't keep conversations going and I talk about the most boring sh*t ever. Am I condemned to a life of loneliness?

That's exactly how I see it too, but it feels like I am a bit of an outsider, especially when you hear all your mates always talking about what this guy guy said on 'x' groupchat. Or getting to know people is difficult also, like it's difficult to gauge whether it's worth asking someone on a date from just day to day conversations around school. I dunno.. am I simply a bit socially awkward?

I don't think you can say you're socially awkward if you actually do enjoy others' company and a re fine in most social situations, it's just the way people communicate now, it's changed so much and some people will prefer it, some people won't
