How to get an a in GCSE language and literature watch

    I am currently studying language and literature specification EDEXCEL. I want an a in both subjects but I got a b in all my controlled assessments. Do I need an a* in the exams to get an a. And how do I get an a* in the exam

    Not sure about how to get an A to an A* for Edexcel. But here are a few tips for what I done for my AQA English Language and Literature, it's pretty much the same thing.

    English Language:
    • Practise your writing skills by writing different types of texts
    • Read books to build your vocabulary
    • Read the newspaper daily and analyse them
    • Watch Mr Bruff's videos on YouTube
    English Literature:
    • Make sure you are confident with the books you are studying
    • Summarise the books you know in bullet points and check if you have covered each important section
    • Analyse every single thing in every poem, each little bit has a meaning
    • Try to compare different poems
    And of course, past papers.
