Just turned 18 and not quite sure what drinks to have in the fridge for when friends come over. Feel free to take the piss but some serious advice would be appreciated too!

You can't go wrong with a proper ale.
And wine's nice, but please don't put it in the fridge (unless your home is abnormally warm.)

No harm in asking, well from a barman, your most popular spirit/mixers are gonna be:
    JD & Coke
Vodka, Lemonade & Lime (cordial or slice)
    Arches & Lemonade
    Malibu & Coke
Disarrano & Coke or Rum (particularly Cap. Morgan's) & Coke.

In my opinion if it's beer, cider etc it's better from the bottle, rather than a can.
And unless you're having some wild party, don't bother with shots.

I'd stock ice for those odd friends who want a chilled drink.

If you're feeling out there, make yourself a Black Russian, not to everyone's taste but it's worth a shot if you're trying to impress someone
    - Tall glass, double regular shot of tia maria, double shot of vodka (smirnoff, grey goose etc) and regular coke to about an inch off the top

Probably well over thought this post, but I worked New Year's Eve last year so I kinda know what people drink on the regular.

THIS. I used to work in a fancy hotel where people thought it was necessary to put whites in a cooler, w/ ice & soda water even though it's been in a -2 cooled fridge for at least 24 hours :/ Oh and I worked with one individual who thought reds went in a cooler too????

Moet? If you're spending that much on Champagne, might as well go all out for Ace of Spades, no?
