Iv just had an offer to do adult nursing this September at UWS hamilton. I have a 9 year old, a 2 year old and a 1 year old. For those of you with children, how are you working the childcare? Obviously my eldest will be at school and I have a family member that can do the before and after school care for her but with my younger to I'm not sure what to do. By then my two year old will be 3 and will have her free nursery place 5 days a week but I would need someone to take her to and from that while also looking after my son. How though do I organise the change of days/hours while I'm on placement when I don't know what the hours will be but what I do know is they will change?? Feel like it's an impossible task! Thinking about a nanny but unsure about the changing of hours days etc!

Mine are at a nursery which is attached to our local hospital (not one I'll have placements unfortunately) and they offer flexible hours for shift workers so I just need to advise them of next weeks hours by the Tuesday before. They're open from 6am to 6pm too so it makes things a little easier. Do you have anywhere like this perhaps? Have you tried googling nursery hours for shift workers in your area?

I genuinely don't know otherwise, I have no idea how shift workers manage it if the nursery only offers set sessions!
