Invest the majority of the money into property, shares etc.

I would pay off my parent's mortgage and any outstanding debts.

Take my family on a very nice holiday and buy an apartment for myself.

So yeah as the title says,
What would you do if you had £5 million?
I would use £1 million to buy a house, invest £3 million in a diversified portfolio of stocks, bonds, currencies and property. £1 million to buy luxury goods.

Get a nice apartment to live in while I get my degree(s). Pay all our loans. Give my mum and dad all the money they'd need to give our home a complete makeover. Get a new MacBook Pro (for educational purposes). Build a darkroom for my dad and get him the exact camera he wants, so we could geek out together.
"Force" my man to move to the UK with me.
I'd keep some in my usual account for daily usage (cinema, beer, food, toiletries, washing powder etc) then put the rest in a savings account.
