Specific reactions for edexcel Chemistry

I've noticed that when doing past papers there are some reactions that we seem to just be expected to know, and I was hoping to find out just which ones they were and if possible what context they're likely to come up.
I'm doing the same course and in my spec it says we need to know precipitation reactions, displacement reactions (with the halogens), and you will need to know the tests for halogens, which is a reaction you need to know.
There are others as well go onto the edexcel website and look at the spec they are all there
