I'm currently in my 2nd year at university but have decided I am wanting to go down the teaching root once I qualify with my degree in microbiology and immunology. I have gained a regular placement with my local biology teacher and in the next two years will gain as much experience as I can.

I know this course is competitive but does anyone know if there is a shortage of biology teaching jobs? I am so scared I finish my degree and can't get on the PGDE course as I really don't want to work in a lab the rest of my life.
Do you think parents should charge rent?
