Hi, since my anxiety started I have been really aware of my automatic body sensations such as itching and swallowing spittle. Normally I'll just wait for the thoughts to just go in thier own time and they do.
But when I am aware of my body itching, I have told myself I shouldn't conciously itch and that I should only itch when I'm not aware of it. But now I'm thinking this is wrong and that sometimes we are very aware of scratching a itch.
What is more right?
1) That I should only itch when I'm not aware of it
2) Sometimes its OK to itch when I am 100% aware of it. So I have an itch on my shoulder, I think to myself I'm going to itch that, I itch and thats it. And to also itch when I'm not aware of it and everything in between.
Which sound more right 1) or 2) ?
