Random deep like on Instagram- why?
I got a bit of a rid notification on Instagram yesterday. This girl liked a picture (of a quote) that I uploaded 97 weeks ago. I have about 180 pictures as well, so she would have had to scroll through quite a bit to find it.
It hasn't got a hashtag either.
The girl in question is the sister in law of a girl I dated briefly. They are both very close, like sisters I know that.
The reason why we stopped dating is because she was only here from France on a gap year, and to cut a long story short despite her wanting to stay, she had to go back. Was a shame as we were really close, but hey that was two years ago nearly and I'm over it now. She's since been in a relationship with some guy there, which has lasted about 10 months thus far. It may have ended as I haven't seen him on her social media for a few months (though she appears to be close friends with his sister).
Back to the photo- the sister in law doesn't follow me, I don't follow her and only two other people liked this photo before she did- the girl I dated and a friend.
Just seems a bit of a weird one.
Maybe the girl I dated was talking with this girl about her time here and me maybe, so she had a little stalk? Dunno! Anyone else had weird stuff like this, or does weird stuff like this lol?

- She sometimes writes something about or to do with her boyfriend when she posts a new pic. She hasn't for awhile now. They'd exchange comments on insta, which they haven't done in a long time.
- Over the last for weeks or so she's quoted songs in her posts that's are more to do with breaking up.
- She's still very good friends with her boyfriends sister though who both post pics of each other and stuff.
- The boyfriend still likes her stuff though, but doesn't comment anymore.
- Her sister in law, who like her sister liked one of my posts on insta from 97 weeks ago. It has no hashtags, hardly any likes before her's (just two, a friends and the girl I dated).
It's just a pic of a quote.
Has the sister in law deep like me for any particular reason? Were her and the girl I dated discussing me if she has indeed broken up with her boyfriend in the last 4 months? Was it an accidental deep like?
Is the girl I dated potentially thinking about me?

If they have broken up, should I try and open up dialogue with her again?
We haven't properly spoken since this time last year tbh. We've exchanged comments on social media and wished each other happy birthday and stuff, but beyond that we haven't talked much.

Hmm yeah, it definitely sounds as if she was thinking about you so yeah, message her! Nothing to lose! It's all speculation though those quotes may just be random. Try not to read too much into little things though. Sometimes people do have a little stalk out of curiosity.

Oh my god. If you are interested in your ex, as how she is doing / if she still has a boyfriend. If you're not, don't.
Yes they might have been talking about you, and she accidentally liked an old post, or started looking as they had been talking about you, mindless bored scrolling ensued as with all of us sometimes, she saw the quote, it resonated with her, and she liked it without thinking / forgot she was on your feed.
It doesn't mean anything, it doesn't mean she fancies you or anything. If she did she wouldn't like it on purpose and show you she was deep scrolling as we all know it comes off as weird and too much, if she liked you she might like a couple new posts - but again that does not necessarily mean someone likes you at all.
