I have!

It was a while ago so they might have changed some things since I had mine.
Basically its a group interview of about 6 people. You introduce yourself and get to know the other people. They then split you up into teams of 2 or 3 and you get given scenarios. These are scenarios of different customers wanting a shoe or handbag for a specific ocassion. You then work as a team to give an ideal shoe/s for the customer and explain why you chose them e.g. advantages of the shoe.

Thats all I can remember of mine as it was about 4 years ago. I think a good thing to do would be to get the group to talk to each other when you split up and not be bossy as you need to show you can work in a team.

Good luck!

yeh i had an interview last month (May 2010) it was going alrite, it was a group interview. they asked questions about how far you wanted to go in the company. they also give you easy exercised to complete. In one of the exercises they gave us cards with pictures of people on them. each job seeker was given a card. They then asked us to look for the kinds of shoes the individuals would wear and the occasions in which they would where them. After that the manager talked more about the company policy etc. BUT BEWARE!, she mentioned that if we got the job sum times we would be required to clean the LOO! after that i messed up the interview and gladly didn't get the job. the pay is £6.05 APPROX FOR OVER 18's. Good luk toilet cleaners, lol!

Hi I actually work at Clarks at the moment.. the interview when I did which was about 2 years ago is exactly how MUDDY 123 said.. they will ask you about different shoes for different people. Have a look on the website (just google Clarks) and get a feel for the different type of shoes we sell... message me if you want any advice/on the shoes/interview!
I've been working there a fair while and hopefully might be able to help!
Moreover come across as enthusiastic, good with kids..
Ooo and the toilet cleaning.. it really isn't that bad and most retail establishments will make you do that occasionally.. ours are always really clean to start with and I've done it about twice in my whole 2 years.. so I wouldn't let that put you off!

Good Luck

I have an interview tomorrow, and I was asked to bring an item with me to try and sell it does anyone have any tips on what item I should bring or what I should research ?

Reply 7

i would have suggested bringing something like a shoe that you have have good knowledge about and you can confidently talk about as they would want to know what you know about shoes.

Hi just wondering if you could give me some advice on a interview for Clarks? Don't know if you still work there but have just read what you said about when you had your interview I've just had a call to say I have a intervew for Friday. I'm under 18 but currently working in retail in river island. So don't really know how much of a chance I have at getting the job?

Thanks x
