    Hi there,
I'm a journalist with experience reporting on Middle East economies and geopolitics. I'm planning to do my masters and I've been accepted to Columbia (MS Journalism with $10,000 scholarship, King's College London (MA South Asia and Global Security) and SOAS (MA Near and Middle Eastern Studies). My undergraduate degree is in mass media (journalism) from Mumbai University. I'm very confused about which university to choose from. The subjects are also very different. I would like to move into TV journalism (I work with a magazine) and would like to focus on Iran, Central Asia and South Asia. Is doing another journalism degree considered frivolous by employers? Columbia is the best journalism school in the world and employment prospects are great. KCL has amazing teachers and the War Studies department. SOAS is very much in tune with my experience so far but I'm wondering about its political affiliations and employment prospects. Do international students find it easy to get a work placement or a job after university in the UK? Would love to hear your thoughts. I keep changing my mind about my uni choices! Thank you!!

My heart's set on Columbia too but it's way expensive! And I wonder whether a specialisation is more apt over a further journalism qualification?

    Interesting fact.

Columbia was also known as King's college.

So you want to go to King's college London, King's college or SOAS?

    Hahahahaha.
