I eat easter eggs all the time and I'm muslim... It's just chocolate in the shape of an egg. I don't see the problem with it? lol.

LOL at thread title.

because it's celebrating Jesus' rebirth, which is like opposing islam cause Muslims strongly do not believe that happened.

just throw the easter egg against the wall and then give it to your muslim friends, that way it's not an egg anymore and just chocolate.

Celebrating Easter is definitely haram but buying Easter eggs is fine I guess .. I mean your intention is to enjoy eating them just like any other chocolate.

He's probably following the puritanical salafi version of Islam. It's fine to receive gifts like those from non-muslims...

TBH his friends are probably the reason he hates islam. "Easter Eggs are haram"-type of muslims are so annoying and would make some people hate islam.

lol heres what i said

Allah knows best but i kind of see it from both arguments. its like buying a Christmas tree and putting it up just bc you think its nice whilst its still associated with Christmas. I read this Fatwa on islamqahttps://islamqa.info/en/101347 and it says:

'To sum up: It is not permissible to celebrate the festivals of the kuffaar or to participate in them, whether they do any religious practices in them or limit it to play and entertainment, because just celebrating it is a haraam innovation, but attending their religious rituals is more haraam. The Muslim should spend this day like any other day, and not have any special food or drink on it, or do anything else to show happiness that is done by those who celebrate this festival, such as going out to parks, funfairs and so on, so as to disavow himself of the sins of approving or taking part.'

i know a husband and wife who both studied islamic studies in Madinah university so i will ask them Image

nice to see you taking quotations from secondary sources and making them look like my words.
