Hello, I've been considering putting my local university as my firm choice. I currently live in a village a few miles outside the city itself (where the uni is), about a 30 minute drive away. I did however live in the city for a few years before moving, therefore I know it well. I plan on staying in halls rather than commuting each day. Would this make university less of an experience than if I were to attend somewhere in a completely new city? Has anyone else decided on doing something similar? Thanks in advance.

Yes the city isnt new so you dont have the experience of going somewhere completely unknown to you but otherwise by living in halls you shouldn't miss out in any other way.
