I need some help. Does anyone know if you are supposed to make progress in a subject from GCSE to Alevel. What i mean is if you got a B in your gcses could you improve to get an A in your A levels? Thanks !

"supposed to" , you're not really supposed to do anything except turn up x)

As to whether you can, absolutely. To give a personal example, I achieved a D at German GCSE but I am predicted to achieve an A at AS Level (based on mock in class tests and essay homeworks, it seems like I will achieve that). It all depends on how committed and passionate you are towards working for higher grades

Your GCSEs are a rough indicator of how you might do, but by no means do they have to hold you back.

It's possible, but it depends on the reason you got a B in your gcse for that subject, was it lack of understanding or were you not really bothered? If you find a subject hard at gcse you are going to find it hard(er) at A level.

It is possible, but only based on that you work harder then you did at gcse

Well I got a B for GCSE History and I'm on track for an A at AS.

Of course, you'll only improve if you put more work in than you did at GCSE. If you put in loads of work at GCSE and still only got like a C, then you probably won't show much upwards progression.
