I use a Charles Worthington one called Moisture Seal Intensive Leave in Conditioner, its really good. Plus they come in small trial sizes so you can try it first before buying a full size bottle

As for hair protector, the best Ive ever used is what my hairdresser uses- which is this one by Wella:

Its pricey but lasts for ages, and works really well

I recommend Tigi's Oatmeal and Honey shampoo and conditioner. It's excellent for colour treated, chemically damaged, dry, hair. I use it as mine is over coloured and bleached and it's really done it good.

Problem is, it's a little pricey. Usually about £8 for a conditioner and £6 for a shampoo. However, most salon's are stocking Tigi's latest offer, which is the two bottles that are 750ml each, for £14.95. One 5ml pump of each is all you need, and it should last you about six months or so.

Hsuan Wen Hua hair moisturiser by Lush. It's actually a miracle worker! And it smells like cinnamon cookies!

Try Dove hair products, they're really good to moisturise the hair and are quite cheap. Boots often have 2 for 1 deals etc. Make sure you have frequent trims of the ends to remove split ends - this is cheap too, or just get your mum or a friend with a steady hand to do it!

If you're interested in Tigi Bedhead/Catwalk products as the above user mentioned, I strongly recommend using ebay as it's a lot cheaper.

Argh, I have frazzled hair too from straightening it every day, especially my fringe, it's awful. I tried TresEmme heat protection spray which is pretty good, but if it's not worked for you, have you tried their moisturising coniditioner? That's pretty good. Try John Frieda Colour Glaze for your shade of hair too, it's not strictly a conditioner or anything but as well as making your hair glossy and shiny it smoothes it out a lot!
