Right now I am in a bit of a dilemma with where I could go for sixth form. I have offers for both my current school and a grammar school but now there is also an option of me going to the global academy: http://www.globalacademy.com/

I want to go into radio and presenting as a career and so the global academy is geared directly towards that. It is run by global (the biggest radio company in the UK), but it is a risk because it is not even built yet, and there is no way of knowing how good the teaching standard would me. It would also be a 1hr 45min commute both there and back, so I may have to stay in the area a couple nights a week.

I guess my question is is would it be too risky? At the grammar I would probably study 4 a-levels the whole time through, but at global I would study two alevels and an extended diploma. The ED is supposed to be equivalent to 3 alevels, but would some look down on it as a qualification? Of course the major benefit on going to the academy is that if I do well there may be a job offer within Global. Also, I want to go to Leeds Uni to study Communications and Media, and the entry requirements are AAB for alevels, or distinction distinction distinction for the ED, so would I be able to get in with Distinction Distinction and an A in one of the alevels? The academy is in the style of the brit school (the head teacher at GA was deputy head there). It is also an option for me to apply to the brit school to do film and radio and go on the waiting list.

I think I just feel a bit lost with all the options and need a bit of help clearing up what would be the best option for me

I didn't have an interview, they just offered a place to anyone and everyone!! To be honest, I didn't go there as I was severely disappointed on the open day, the school seems ok but the people who go there aren't going there for the right reasons (also some of the teachers of the media section are just employees of global who have been trained up)
