I need some advice. I'm 19 and I've had a few driving lessons over the past few months. There is absolutely no way I could afford a car, second hand or not, road tax, MOT, insurance ect until I finish Uni in 3 years. Should I carry on lessons and take my test regardless of the fact I can't afford buying a car or would it be a waste and then start lessons again in 3 years?

I'd say carry on with the lessons and pass your test, as you're already in the flow of things and then you have your license just in case. But then if you come to buy your car in 3 years time and are out of practise, you could always have 2 or 3 lessons just going over basics to remind yourself again
