OCR Physics Revision (pdf;module , module 4 notes going up)

I once created a thread for physics mindmap revision, since then I have been ill for a month and have not updated. Here is a complete module 1 OCR forces and motion revision notes.

(At least I think its complete, please PM me if I have missed out anything)

here is a link to a folder where I will be keeping these files;

PDF versions here; one has notes, one the mindmap.

Newtons Laws

1st

Every object will remain in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state unless an external force is applied to it.

2nd

The rate of change of momentum of a body is proportional to the resultant force acting on the body and is in the same direction.

F=ma F=(mv-mu)/t

p=mv p=momentum, m=mass, u=initial velocity, v=final velocity, t=time

3rd

To every force, there is an equal but opposite, reaction force.

Conservation of Momentum

For a collision occuring between object 1 and object 2 in an isolated system, the total momentum of the two objects before the collision is equal to the total momentum of the 2 collisions after the collision. That is, the momentum lost by object one is equal to the momentum gained by object two.

Inelastic collisions

momentum, total energy conserved, total Kinetic energy changes.

Elastic collisions

momentum, kinetic energy and total energy is conserved.

These are some very good notes and I have been looking for something like this. I hope you are able to create the notes for Electrons and Photons and Wave Properties (OCR) as well soon.

Also, on a side note, in the mind map, there are a few letters missed out in some words such as top right where you have written oer when it should be over. Another one is top left, where you have written la when it should be law.

Looks like you've covered the whole of Forces and Motion. I'll await the other two module notes as well, hopefully you get it done over the weekend!

I'm retaking module 3 and sitting modules 4,5,6 later so its more likely that I will post 3 first as thats on thursday I think..
