    Here's mine:
Death Note - It's like a japanese dexter, the music is amazing and the mind games between light and L were invigorating.
Monster - I'm in the middle of the series. This anime is defintely a slow burner but oncer is gets going it will amaze you. The story has so much depth and is extremely intriguing. Definitely a maturer anime which takes on a very serious and realistic tone.
Parasyte the Maxim - Lol I was tearing up in lot the episodes. It takes a real grab at your emotions with its philosphical themes.
Tokyo Ghoul - Only watched the first series. The ending of series 1 was a masterpiece! Increidbly gory, difficult to watch at times but still incredibly fun. That intro song is amazing ^_^

    Mine:

Death Note - the mind game between the main characters is the highlight in an anime which convinces with the story.

Hellsing Ultimate - it is splattering and equipped with a doom scenario. Plus Alucard is such a sadist with sarcasm in his sayings. That is so genius!

Samurai 7 - the animated series to Akira Kurosawa's the seven Samurai. Story is good, the characters as well.

    Monogatari series
    Kill la Kill
    Boku dake ga inai machi
    Durarara
    Seven Deadly Sins
    Steins;Gate

Also, I recommend carrying on with the manga after completing season 1 of Tokyo Ghoul.

I love how these threads always turn into lists ^^

For me I think favourite anime would be Durarara but favourite manga is Tokyo Ghoul (reading Barakamon atm as well and finding it incredibly sweet/funny). Death Note is also up there but it's been a while since I watched/read it.
