I'm trying to do this question on moments and I can't seem to get my head around it:
A students wants to weigh himself but the only balance available is a newtonmeter that measures up to 200 newtons.
The diagram shows the student standing on a plank with a pivot on the right hand side, the total plank is 1.75m and he is standing 0.5m to the left of the pivot.
On the left hand side is a newtonmeter showing 160n on a rope.

I need to calculate the weight of the student given by this method, but I have no idea how to go about it. Any help would be appreciated!

This is confusing without a diagram. Is the pivot at the right end? It seems odd that the pivot and Newton meter would be at the same place.

I had typed it in wrong and the newton meter was on the left, but I've worked it out now. Thanks anyway!
