    It is from a poem by Tennyson. The phrase was used by Winston Churchill in a war time speech.

    When every morning brought a noble chance,
    And every chance brought out a noble knight.

    I can feel a bit of the poetic quality of the speech. And I heard of knights and chivalry long ago, confused that why the age of chivalry attracted exceptional attention.
